Brake pads have wear indicators that make a squeaking noise when the brakes are worn out. The noise may be present with/without the brake pedal applied, but when noise is heard from the wear indicator, the brake pads should be replaced ASAP. Wear indicators are set to produce noise when 2 mm of brake pad friction material thickness remaining. If assessing pad wear through inspection, pads must be replaced at or before 2 mm thickness is reached. Your Nissan specialist will perform a multi-point inspection on the vehicle during routine maintenance visits, so you’ll know how much brake pad material is remaining.
Genuine Nissan Motor Oil 0W-20 is recommended and is the factory fill on most models. Failure to use Genuine Nissan Motor Oil 0W-20, where recommended, could result in serious engine damage. This oil is also approved for use in place of 5W-30 viscosity oil. However, for warranty purposes, this fill is an approved alternative and is recommended to be used.
A clean fuel filter ensures hassle-free and peak engine performance. Always consult your automaker’s manual or certified Nissan mechanic, but fuel filters typically last between 20,000 to 40,000 miles.
Look into your owner’s manual for the time intervals for your particular model. If you can’t find owner’s manual, call our Nissan repair center – a service adviser will inform you about the mileage intervals for oil changes.
Check the warranty date on the car battery. The letter is the month – A for January, B for February, M for March, and so on. The number is the year. A battery that shows B22 means February 2022. Change the battery before the date to avoid a dead battery. Or, you could have your battery checked at our Nissan auto shop to ensure that it’s still holding a charge.
